Our Mission
Atlanta Robotics Kin is on a mission to gather curiosity and build something with it, through robotics, engineering, coding and hands-on STEM. As the umbrella organization of ATOM Robotics and EVE Robotics, we launch students ages 12 to 18, regardless of background or access, into technical skill, creative confidence, and lasting community.

Since 2015, we've been operating Georgia's longest-running all-girl FRC program, connecting with 300,000 Georgians across the state and inspiring 100% of our graduates with the desire to pursue STEM majors in college. ARK was co-founded by a mentor with 17 years of experience across the FIRST community, guiding the launch of both ATOM Robotics and EVE Robotics from the ground up.
ATOM's co-founder is a former FIRST Robotics student turned coach, having come up through every level, from student to mentor to coach, and now holding a master's degree.
EVE's co-founder began her founder's journey in the 8th grade. Now a senior in college studying mechanical engineering, she still mentors the team remotely.
What We Offer
Every program is designed around one principle: students learn best when they own the process, not just follow instructions.
ATOM Robotics is our FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) initiative built to channel the focused energy, creative ambition, and technical drive of young men into high-level engineering. Students take a custom robot from blank-page concept to competitive execution, mastering parametric CAD design, precision mechanical fabrication, autonomous programming, and match strategy along the way.Inside ATOM, technical rigor meets deep camaraderie. Members don't just learn how to solve complex spatial and code challenges under pressure; they build a culture of accountability, resilience, and mutual respect that carries far beyond the field. ATOM is where raw curiosity is refined into genuine engineering instinct.
EVE Robotics is our premier all-female STEM pipeline, uniting a middle school FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team and high school FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, the longest-running all-girls FRC squad in Georgia. We cultivate an empowering, high-iteration environment where girls transform from creative makers into high-level engineers, coders, and team strategists from middle school through graduation.At EVE, technical excellence and creative expression are treated as equal forces of innovation. Members from across public, private, and homeschool communities construct deep confidence as they tackle complex mechanical fabrication, parametric CAD, and custom programming. We aren't just competing on the field; we are breaking barriers, building community, and forging tomorrow's STEM workforce.
Our Home
ARK is proud to call the Johnson STEM Activity Center home, founded by Dr. Lonnie Johnson, NASA engineer, Super Soaker inventor, and holder of over 150 patents. It's a fitting site for a program built on curiosity and hands-on learning.

About Our Organization
ATOM Robotics and EVE Robotics have built their track record since 2015 under the fiscal sponsorship of Georgia Robotics Alliance, with Coach Akili guiding all three programs the entire way. Atlanta Robotics Kin now exists to bring that shared history under one roof, with independent 501(c)(3) status in process.
